Create a building
As a syndic, you create a building in a 3-step wizard (General → Units → Distribution keys).
Two fields in Step 1 are important for the next steps:
- Enterprise number: make sure this number is correct. SNDQ will later verify it to create the building’s Peppol address, so suppliers can send invoices to that Peppol address.
- Shares: the total number of shares will be used for the primary distribution key in Step 3.
Step 1 — General: building details
- Open Patrimony → Buildings
- Click Add building
Fill in:
- Enterprise number: make sure this number is correct. SNDQ will later verify it to create the building’s Peppol address.
- Shares: enter the total number of shares according to the deed. This will be used for the primary distribution key in Step 3.
- Co-owners: select the co-owners of the building (or create them if they don’t exist yet).
Then:
- Click Next step 2 (Units)
Step 2 — Units: create units and assign owners
In Step 2, create the units for this building and assign the right owner and property type per unit.
- Click Add units manually
- Choose a numbering style (for example numbers or letters)
- Set how many units you need (ground floor, floors, units per floor, …)
- Click Create units
After creation, you can still adjust:
- Unit name (for example “Apartment 101”)
- Owner per unit so it matches the real situation
- Property type per unit (choose the right type for that unit)
Then:
- Click Next step 3 (Distribution keys)
Step 3 — Distribution keys: check the primary key (and add more if needed)
In Step 3, you will see one primary distribution key that SNDQ created automatically. Check that the number of shares is correct.
To create additional distribution keys:
- Click
Add distribution key - Configure the key
- Save
Finish
- Click
Finish and saveto officially create and save the building.
Concept vs official building
If you save after only Step 1 and/or Step 2, the building is stored as a concept (draft). To create the building officially, complete Step 3 and finish with Finish and save.
